Free Tour Macabre Events, Legends and Mysteries of Paris

Discover the hidden side of Paris on a Free Tour that will take you through scenes of crimes, legends and mysteries that marked the history of the city. From Place Louis Lepine, we will walk around Notre-Dame Cathedral to learn about the history of the recent fire and stories like the famous locksmith, as well as disturbing myths such as the “murderous barber” and events linked to the old Parisian morgue.

We will continue to the Palais de Justice, where dark judicial episodes are hidden, and cross the Pont Neuf to learn about the tragic death of Henri IV and the curse of Jacques de Molay. Each stop will take us into an unknown Paris, full of stories that combine reality and legend.

We will end at the Hôtel de Ville, where we will reveal the origins of the guillotine and travel back in time to locate the disappeared Cemetery of the Holy Innocents, the starting point of the famous catacombs.
