Excursion to Versailles from Paris with Transportation and Tickets + Audio Guide

About the Palace of Versailles

Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the majestic Palace of Versailles was the accredited residence of the French monarchy from the reign of Louis XIV until the French Revolution in 1789. Conceived as a symbol of the Sun King’s absolute power, this extraordinary complex combines the elegance of Baroque architecture with lavish halls, refined decorations, and spectacular gardens designed to impress all of Europe. During this audioguided tour from Paris, you will discover at your own pace one of France’s greatest historical and artistic landmarks.

What to See During the Visit

The tour includes priority access to the famous Gardens of Versailles, even on Musical Fountain Show days, as well as an audioguided visit through the impressive King’s Grand Apartments and the elegant Queen’s Apartments, where Marie Antoinette once lived. You will also admire the dazzling Hall of Mirrors, designed by architect Jules Hardouin-Mansart, illuminated by 17 windows and decorated with 350 mirrors. The gardens created by André Le Nôtre amaze visitors with sculptures, ponds, fountains, and groves that make the estate a true masterpiece of French landscape design.
